Artist Statement: This is my old lease horse, Ticket. I had to stop leasing him when I moved barns and the owner wouldn't sell him, but I still go back to visit him. He is a gray horse, so blue goes best with his coat. His blanket, being blue, had always stood out on him because he is a gray horse, so I thought it would be interesting to only have the blanket in color. It was hard to get the blanket semi-clean before the photo because he likes to role in the mud so much.

Artist Statement: This is Ticket, an OTTB or off track thoroughbred. Blue pops on his coat, so I put my horse's halter on him. When taking this photo, it was hard to get him to look in a way where I could see part of the side of the halter. To fix this, I had my friend Sophia direct his gaze towards her with carrots.

Artist Statement: This is my dog Rocket. Ironically, his favorite toy is a rubber rocket. I used this toy to keep him doing interesting things while I photographed him, at to keep his head up to show off the bandana. I got this bandana for when I took him to the Wag and Walk, where I volunteer with the humane society. The booth I was volunteering at was right next to a booth selling bandanas, and the person who owned it gave some to my dogs to wear to show them off. Rocket looks best in red, so I gave him a Captain America one, while my dog Coco got a Batman bandana, and my other dog got a Hulk bandana.
Superhero
Artist Statement: This is my rabbit, Jasper. I took photo's of him because he won't let me pet him because he hates all people, hence the side glare. Taking photo's of him pretty much is all we can do with him. I made him the only thing with color in this photo because of his breed. He is a minature lop show bred bunny. We got him specifically for his breed because my oldest sister wanted to show him, but he ended up being to mean to do it. This means he bites anyone who comes near it, and the vets have to sedate him for check ups.

Artist Statement: My older sister drew this outside her apartment downtown. I took a picture of this because of how the colors stand out. I think it is interesting how she used the cracks in the sidewalk to create her picture. I wanted to remember the picture because it was supposed to rain soon, and chalk washes away in the rain.
