SunnyBehindArtist Statement: I took this picture at my family's cabin in Interlochen. I took this picture with my dog in it because faces attract the eyes attention, and I want the viewer to look past the outside of the glass door and into the reflection above his head. I had a hard time positioning my dog do that his head was just below the lake, but not covering it. I tried to create a vibrant mood with this picture, by adding a lot of things into the photo to make it seem busy.

SkylonShadowArtist Statement: I took this photo in Interlochen at my family's cabin. I took this picture of a tree because of how long it stretches out onto the water. The way the shadow fades into the distance on the lake makes it seem like the water goes on longer than it does. I tilted the photo to make the tree look straighter, but not completely straight. The mood I am trying to create with this photo is relaxation. I did this by photographing calm water with a slight ripple in the corner.
